SignPost wants you to be able to find the services you need quickly and efficiently - where all the information you need to know is at your fingertips.
At the top of each page, SignPost has a tab called "Service Provider Directory", where you will find a drop-down menu for various service cateogories. Choose the category you need, then click on one of the agencies or organizations that are listed. Each listing provides a brief summary of the services that are offered by that organization. And if you need more information, there are links to websites, links to addresses, and phone numbers made readily available.
We have over 20 categories to choose from and 250+ (and counting) opportunities for you to find the help you need. So, have a pen and some paper ready so that you can jot down all the choices that apply to your current situation.
In addition, the state of Oklahoma maintains a broader directory, so if you can't find what you need on SignPost, then try looking on JOIN. It's a bit more complicated, and we would suggest that when searching that site, use the "Search by a county" option.
Call 9-1-1. 9-1-1 is only to be used in emergency situations. An emergency is any situation that requires immediate assistance from the police/sheriff, the fire department or an ambulance. If you are ever in doubt of whether a situation is an emergency, you should call 9-1-1. It's better to be safe and let the 9-1-1 call taker determine if you need emergency assistance.
SignPost has a listing of Crisis Hotlines available, and most are available 24 hours a day. We also recommend that you call HeartLine's 2-1-1 service or their CareLine at 405.848.2273. Both of these numbers have 24-hour service.
Finally, let us know if we can improve this section. It is our intent to make this as user-friendly as possible, and your input is greatly desired. Here is the SignPost Contact information.
